It is with great pleasure that I write to invite you to the 155th London Eza, to be held at Three Wheels from 1:00 pm on Sunday 3rd October 2021.
Three Wheels has now decided to hold the next London Eza with your participation in person in the same way as it was before the Covid-19 pandemic. You are more than welcome to join us at Three Wheels if you feel comfortable to do so and see Dharma friends.
At this London Eza, we will be holding the annual ceremony known as Otorikoshi, which is a traditional event in which we express our gratitude to the founder of Shin Buddhism, Shinran-Shonin, for what has been done for us by him. Following the service before the Buddha-shrine, I will give a talk about Pure Land and faith which will be followed by a meeting to share your impressions and reflections. This meeting of sharing is a big opportunity for us to become more deeply aware of Shinran Shonin’s teachings that are freely given to each of us. I believe that this awareness is received from others through listening to their hearts. After such a long period of separation, let’s take this very first opportunity to meet friends who, through their feelings of gratitude, may deepen our own spirits.
We also offer online participation on Zoom for those who might not feel comfortable at this moment to gather at Three Wheels. This also allows some of you who live far away to join us and this time especially Rev. Sato, who will be in Japan, to be with us.
We are looking forward to seeing you in person at Three Wheels and on Zoom as well.
Rev. Kenshin Hiroshi Ishii
Venue: 55 Carbery Avenue, London, W3 9AB
Time and date: 1:00 p.m., 3rd October (Sunday) 2021
Note: If you are participating in person, please ensure you have a face covering and make sure that you do not have any symptoms such as temperature, cough etc. If you do, please join us on Zoom. Please contact Three Wheels via email for the detail of Zoom participation.
